A pet record holds everything you need to care for an animal: breed and basics, handling notes, and a photo gallery. It's the page a groomer checks before a service and the place you capture the before/after shots customers love.

What you can do

• Keep a full pet record: name, species, breed, sex, date of birth, weight, color, microchip, and notes.
• Record handling and care notes — temperament, allergies, feeding or medication notes.
• Upload photos to the pet's gallery and remove them when needed.
• See the pet's appointment history alongside the owner's.

How to add a pet

1. Open the owner the pet belongs to.
2. On the Pets tab, click Add pet.
3. Fill in the details — name, species, breed, and as much of the rest as you have (DOB, weight, color, microchip).
4. Add any notes the team should know before handling the pet.
5. Save.

How to manage photos

1. Open the pet profile (or the owner's Photos tab).
2. Click Upload and choose one or more images.
3. To remove a photo, open it and choose delete.

Photos are perfect for grooming before-and-afters, ID shots, and capturing a pet's coat condition at intake.

Tips & best practices

• Capture handling cues in notes, not just in your head — "nervous at the dryer," "no nail Dremel," "matted, quote first." The next groomer will thank you.
• Snap an intake photo. A quick photo at drop-off documents condition and gives you a great "after" to share.
• Keep breed accurate. It drives the look of the calendar card and helps groomers prep.
